International Climate Change Mitigation Specialist for BUR3 and 4NC of Paraguay
Project: Support the Republic of Paraguay in the preparation and presentation of the Fourth National Communication (4NC) and the Third Biennial Update Report (BUR3), to comply with the commitments under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Objectives: The main objective of this consultancy is to support the development of the mitigation chapter to be presented as part of the BUR3 and the 4NC. Besides, we will work on strengthening institutional capacities related to climate action management, as well as generating information that will allow better decision-making and planning of mitigation actions at the national level (MRV System).
Services provided:
- Technical support to improve the climate mitigation information: mitigation measures identification and prioritization, mitigation potential estimates, MRV system, international reporting, among others.
- Capacity building on GHG emissions estimates, mitigation potential, ETF, and international reporting.
- Technical support to prepare the mitigation chapters to be part of the BUR and NC.

Objetivos: El principal objetivo de esta consultoría es apoyar al desarrollo del capítulo de mitigación a ser presentado como parte del IBA3 y la 4CN. Además, se trabajará en el fortalecimiento de capacidades institucionales relacionadas con la gestión de la acción climática, así como en la generación de información que permita una mejor toma de decisiones y planificación de las acciones de mitigación a nivel nacional (sistema MRV).
Servicios proporcionados por Kairos Climate Impulse:
- Apoyo técnico para mejorar la información sobre mitigación del cambio climático: identificación y priorización de medidas de mitigación, estimaciones del potencial de mitigación, sistema MRV, informes internacionales, entre otros.
- Desarrollo de capacidades sobre estimaciones de emisiones de GEI, potencial de mitigación, ETF e informes internacionales.
- Apoyo técnico para preparar los capítulos de mitigación que formarán parte del IBA y la CN.
